Card - US and CAN General Panel Logic Updates: 04/10/2025​

We are updating our methodology in our Card - US and CAN General Panel.

Logic Updates: Week Ending 04/10/2025​

  • Platform: The new panel will be live after the data refresh on Saturday night on 4/12/2025.

Panel Details​

Old Panel​

  • Removing spend outliers in our data (transactions > $10,000)
  • Removing individual outliers in our data (individuals spending > $150,000 per quarter)
  • Filters for users with a span greater than six quarters (difference between the user’s latest activity and first activity)
  • Ensures that the span of a user’s activity is at least 33% of their active quarters
  • Beginning the panel on Jan 1, 2017

New Panel​

  • Removing spend outliers in our data (transactions > $25,000)
  • Filters for active users in 2025
  • Beginning the panel on Jan 1, 2020

New Panel Stats​

  • Users: ~200K annually, ~180K monthly
  • Accounts: ~500K annually, ~400K monthly
  • Biases (Geo): Over-indexed to CA, FL, IL; under-indexed to PA, MI, WI
  • Biases (Demo): Over-indexed to Millennials
  • Lag: T + 7 days

Impact​

  • Spend decreases by ~30%

We are removing spend outliers and ensuring individuals are active in the panel. Users can expect a further dive into the changes to be released shortly.
